Second Hand Book Haul!

So I’ve got a mini little haul to show you all today!

Now, I am technically on a book buying ban, but a second hand sale happened semi-near-us and so I had to go and see what was there. I ended up buying four books, three music books, and a box set of limited edition Star Wars videos (episodes IV, V, & VI), all for $18.50! I think that’s worth it. *nods*

I’ll just show the books, and why I got them!

The first book I bought was Quidditch Through The Ages. My sister picked it up and put it back without realising what it was!! I stopped her as soon as I saw what happened, because I’ve been wanting to get this for ages! I can’t wait to start reading it.

Do you think it’s long enough to count as an entire book for my Goodreads reading challenge? I think it totally does.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The next book I got was Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. We didn’t actually own this one, but now we do! We almost despaired of finding it, but my sister spotted it under a pile of picture books. Very thankful that we found it! It’s actually in surprisingly good condition – a hardback and a very early edition, yay!

We didn’t own this one, and I’m so glad I found it! Though it might not look it, it’s also in really good condition. The spine is completely intact which is really good for a second hand book!

Also – WE FINALLY HAVE ALL THE HARRY POTTERS!!

Just a little bit happy about that 🙂

The last book I bought:

Before I fall, by Lauren Oliver. This is a book that I’ve heard a lot of contrasting things about and really want to try it for myself! The idea of it really intrigues me and so we’ll see what happens. Also I think a movie is coming out of this book soon? So maybe now is a good time to read it.

This was also a little bit of a spontaneous purchase – I saw it, I picked it up, I bought it. Ahh well, second hand book sales come but twice a year!

Well, that’s my book haul, and hopefully the last one until my birthday! I really am awful with this whole book ban thing – I’ve bought more books than ever. But it’s okay, because I know I’ll read them 🙂
